Frank A. DiPerna

Age 65, and longtime resident of Beechview, Frank left this world suddenly on Monday, January 15, 2024. Frank had recently begun treatment for pancreatic cancer. He was a devoted and caring family man. Loving husband of Kimberly (Murray) DiPerna. Son of Carl DiPerna and the late Mary (Moreno) DiPerna. Beloved brother of Carl (Leonette) DiPerna, Jr. Frank is survived by three stepdaughters, Samatha Kostley (Alex Vogel), Stephenie (Ryan) Blumish, and Katelyn Margerum (Justin Liss), along with three grandchildren, Ava, Zoe, and Tyler. Uncle of Maria DiPerna (Shannon Stewart), and Gino (Lauren) DiPerna.

A graduate of South Catholic High School, Frank received his B.S. degree from Robert Morris. He retired from the Post Gazette’s distribution operations and had served on the Teamsters Union Local #211 Board. Recently he was the Central Supply Coordinator for the Clinical Excellence Department of Vincentian Marion Manor.

An avid sports fan, Frank followed all the Pittsburgh teams. He loved coaching football and was previously an assistant football coach at Seton LaSalle High School and Duquesne University.

Friends received Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at BRUSCO-NAPIER FUNERAL SERVICE, LTD., 2201 Bensonia Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Teresa of Kolkata Parish—St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1810 Belasco Ave., Pgh, PA 15216. Entombment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org, or to a charity of one’s choice in Frank’s name.
